Randomly, without me making any changes to my device, my internet cut out I tried to ping Google DNS, but was met with sendmsg: operation not permitted I spent hours Googling this issue, and tried every solution known to man, with no success If anything, I broke it even further Here is some helpful data:

However my wireless connection seems to take precedence over anything and when i try to ping my call manager server I get the following: mewt@tehgraveyard:~$ ping 192 168 30 1 PING 192 168 30 1 (192 168 30 1) 56(84) bytes of data ping: sendmsg: Operation not permitted my routing table looks like this: mewt@tehgraveyard:~$ route -n

When I try to ping google com, it says temporary failure in name resolution, and when I ping 8 8 8 8 it returns sendmsg: Operation not permitted Once UFW is disabled, both of these work fine I would rather not just open port 53, since that may introduce other vulnerabilities

Ping says sendmsg: Operation not permitted because packets sent by the application were not accepted So the answer is no, packets sent by ping didn't leave your computer But, as said by Alaa, you pinged www yahoo com and the name was successfully resolved to an address (206 190 36 45)
