Brace your self: I'll tell you how to make the most cost efficient piston enchanting room Instead of using 30 sticky pistons you can use 8 normal pistons Basically the pistons go in the floor facing upwards or in the ceiling facing downwards (the later is kind of ugly though)

first, make a 9x9 room place the enchantment table in the middle make the walls out of bookshelves You can't have anything between the table and the walls, so to light it, I usually make the ceiling floor out of glowstone

The room is 15x15x4 (walls and ceiling are included in this, but not the floor) You need 4 blocks of vertical space because you need half slabs above the top chests, so make sure you account for it Each side holds 15 double chests, and provides plenty of columns to label your chests
