I forget what the reason given was for Farscape, but in general it's because the people at the network thought they knew better how to introduce a show to an audience Fox famously did this with Firefly by skipping the pilot entirely and going straight to the train job episode because they thought it would be more exciting for new people

Farscape is up there for me I'd toss it among Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Stargate SG-1 All of those are untouchable shows if you ask me I don't want to live in a world where any of those don't exist Frell you Obviously I have a sci fi bend I like good tv I love sci fi Those things blend Reply reply
