Farscape, in my opinion, is the best Sci Fi series ever made The story telling is excellent The aliens are Henson Muppets The universe is complex and realistically gigantic What I mean by that is that in a galaxy of billions of stars, the people on board the ship don’t know where their homeworlds are

And it may be a little zany, campy, and totally unhinged in parts, but had some incredible concepts in it: living starships, sentient plants, bionic replicants, non-humanoid aliens, wormholes as weapons, and a great take on a distant origin precursor species arc, and the Scarrans with their dependency on a flower that is straight out of Niven's Known Space

I think they dropped the "enhance" specifically to distance themselves from that particular Hollywood trope lol I haven't had the time to do a before after comparison video for Farscape, but if you'd like to see the kind of difference the process brings, here are a few examples from previous projects:

I forget what the reason given was for Farscape, but in general it's because the people at the network thought they knew better how to introduce a show to an audience Fox famously did this with Firefly by skipping the pilot entirely and going straight to the train job episode because they thought it would be more exciting for new people

Farscape is up there for me I'd toss it among Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Stargate SG-1 All of those are untouchable shows if you ask me I don't want to live in a world where any of those don't exist Frell you Obviously I have a sci fi bend I like good tv I love sci fi Those things blend Reply reply
