- Im concerned because gameknot. com, my go-to long distance chess . . .
Don't know about it, but I have very fond memories of this site When I first started playing, gameknot com was where I used to play I used to take my games very seriously and use the hell out off the analysois board In complicated positions I think most of my chess abilities came out of the couple of years I played correspondance at that site

Yes, I think you are right The live chess bit is pretty basic I tend to use Fics for blitz, but mostly play only correspondence these days
- Why not Game Knot dot com? : r chess - Reddit
Just curious as I always just see links to chess com and lichess on here but never gameknot I've been playing there for years and really love their interface and community I'm not trying to shill or anything, I just am interested to know why it isn't popular here as it is a very chess focused site w lot of pro players, tourneys, etc
- Does anybody use gameknot for correspondance chess? : r chess - Reddit
Gameknot has always been good enough for me, although I'll play blitz on chesscube and every once and a while I'll watch the masters play blitz on chess com I guess I got used to gameknot at some point and never saw a reason to switch, although comparatively chess com seems like a better site

- Chess computer on Gameknot too strong? : r chess - Reddit
First, there is no objective universal "rating", so notions of what a 1600 is vs an 1800 aren't fixed Rated in person live play at tournament time controls against other tournament players is different from playing at-will at short or whatever time controls, and every nation has a slightly differently calibrated rating system
- Anyone here likes GameKnot? : r chess - Reddit
I've been a member of chess com for over a year now, but I remembered a site I played on back in ~2001-2002, gameknot com I registered a new account and I have to say that I like the interface there quite a lot They don't have as many features as chess com (no forums, no videos), but I like the tournaments Anyone else play there?
- Why am I so bad at live chess? : r chess - Reddit
Anyways, gameknot recently added live chess, and I am shockingly terrible at it I have lost something like 90% of my live games (3-5 min + 10 sec) and my rating is around 950 I don’t know what my board rating would be, probably around 1200
