david lewis was born and raised on cape cod, and pursued many paths - carpentry, sailing, plumbing, fishing - until, listening to an echo from his childhood, he found himself with a chisel in his had and an unfinished block of wood before him. since that day, there has been no other path. moving from intricate wood carvings to bronze, lewis quickly developed both a style and a following that takes most artists decades to establish.
