home page first lutheran church of dekalb welcome tofirst lutheran - dekalb all are welcome at first lutheran, an active and friendly congregation of the evangelical lutheran church in america (elca). please join us as we celebrate 150 years of ministry and mission! every week, we gather for worship around word and sacrament, christian education for all ages, friendly conversation and fun. sunday morning worship in our sanctuary usually includes music by our adult choir, hand bell choir and our children. a children's message is included every sunday. during the christian education hour, classes, discussion groups and forums are offered for all ages. or just grab a cup of coffee and join in the friendly conversation in the social hall and atrium following the worship service. welcome home! there's a place for you here!
