falcon racing llc. was founded in 1979 by former nascar driver mike swaim, sr. falcon racing llc. got its start in the late model sportsman series with drivers phil parsons and bobby labonte. owner mike swaim took that driver's seat in 1982 in the goody's dash series where he was the national champion in 1984 and 1985. swaim then moved to the busch grand national series in the late 1980's where he won the pole at daytona in 1988. in the early 1990's steve grissom, ward burton, morgan shepherd and troy beebe took the wheel for falcon racing in the busch grand national series with texas pete and taco bell as sponsors.
