- Cant install Aptoide - Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange
Apparently Aptoide-dev was installed but somehow only for the guest user All I had to do was switching to the guest user, going to Settings -> Apps and remove the Aptoide-dev package Going back to my profile did some weird stuff (I can't switch between apps, it'll probably work after restart) but I managed to install Aptoide finally Thanks
- How safe is it to use Aptoide? - Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange
Aptoide on the other end is said to serve more than 120 000 apps currently As the name suggests, it uses APT style repositories, which I'm used to from Linux (Debian and derivates) It even lets you have your own private repo to share apps between devices (or with friends)
- How safe is the Aptoide apk? - Android Enthusiasts Stack Exchange
Aptoide is also an app store like Play Store which needs an account This is like your Google account for Play Store So it will have permissions (just like Play Store) for creating modifying accounts (only for Aptoide) Location access is for viewing apps according to your location Aptoide is safe but be careful with the apps downloaded from it
- updates - How safe is it to upgrade apps using Aptoide? - Android . . .
If only regarding legal issues, Aptoide is definitely a gray area as some apps are not legally distributed there, clearly bypassing fees setup on the Google Play Store or breaking licensing terms Furthermore, there are concerns that malware can be injected in apps shipped on Aptoide, although they make efforts to scan apps for such problems
- applications - Why do I have Aptoide app installed, and why do update . . .
I found this “Aptoide” app on my Samsung Galaxy A5 the other day but I certainly don’t recall downloading it I opened it up and somehow got to the updates section It showed me available updates for a bunch of apps, some of which I have but others I don’t
- Why are apps on Aptoide newer than the Play Store?
Basically this Since the update rollout from Play Store is staged, some people get the update earlier than the other, and they share the APK to other (e g XDA, APKMirror, Aptoide) for other people to sideload it It almost always happened to me when reading new features of Google apps' update, when I haven't got the update yet –
- security - Can I trust apps downloaded from Aptoide? - Android . . .
Anyone can upload apps to Aptoide, iirc without good, if any, verification Aptoide is also known to be a source of pirated apps, so if you want to use any app, consider downloading it from Play Store or from the official source Many apps are the original ones and considered safe If you have concerns, do not use it
- Which has viruses? Aptoide, or the apps that come with it?
Since Aptoide is not a mediated source for apps (Google Play is), it goes without saying that it's up to the user to use discretion on the things they get from that source An alternative market that could contain apps that may have malware could be described as risky but then again so is the internet - all sites are accessible and you must show discretion in avoiding the bad ones
- security - How to report potential abuse in Aptoide without becoming a . . .
The Aptoide store is an alternative platform where you can get Android apps I found an app on the Aptoide store via Google that has a size of 3 3 MB The same app with the same app version in the F-Droid store has only a size of 1 1 MB So I assume that this app is infected by malware The Aptoide's info about the suspicious app is Xxxx is
